How do you detect a Facebook pixel?
We load the homepage, contact and about pages and look for the Meta pixel code (fbq / fbevents.js) and the tags of the other ad platforms.
Why does it matter?
A business that runs ads without a pixel cannot retarget visitors or measure sales from ads - an easy, concrete thing to offer to fix.
Can it miss a pixel?
Yes, if the pixel only loads after a cookie banner is accepted or through a tag manager on later pages. We say what we found on the pages we read.
